For those of you that follow me on
my Twitter account you probably know by now that I was in a mini e-fight with a couple of bitches, only one that I have met in real life. But before you go skimming down my timeline trying to find the ownage that is my victory, let me provide you with the back story.
A friend of mine, let's call him D, used to be friends with this chick, who shall be named J. D is always throwing parties, and I usually attend. Who better to get schwasted and party with than D? At one of his parties I met J, and she brought her at the time "man friend."
One look at this couple and their chemistry I knew it wasn't going to last; they both seemed too immature yet comical, like they were pretending to be at a level of maturity that they weren't (how fitting to the rest of the story). In the end, they broke it off. Turns out I was correct.
But that's beside the point. As usual in this day and age when you meet someone and you're not immediately turned off by them you add them on Facebook, so she added me and I accepted. Outside of normal chit chat on statuses she was soon basically forgotten.
Until D and J got in a fight that is.
Apparently these two fight off and on about the most random shit. Because D is at a higher level of maturity, he (like myself) finds it easy to dismiss people who are obnoxious and petty. Because J was being quite obnoxious and quite petty on several occasions, he's let her go.
In the end it just isn't worth it to deal with giant insecure babies, now is it?
Keep in mind that while I still sided with D based on the descriptions of the situation that was given to me, I had no beef with J until I realized something about her; it wasn't just her lack of maturity that turned people off, it was her blatant stupidity!
If you know anything about me whatsoever, the first thing you should have realized is that I cannot tolerate ignorant people. If I was president, I'd have those I've deemed blissfully ignorant lined up and shot, that's how intolerant I am. And I'm especially intolerant when it comes to the following:
- Race issues
- Religious issues
- Moral issues
- Rights issues
J has written several statuses that scream ignorance to me. She sounds like one of those college students that took one sociology/psychology course and feels she understands the world. Her latest status of ignorance spoke about race relations (note, the top of the list) and it did not sit well with me at all.
I don't remember the exact status (not to mention I deleted her soon after responding to it so I can't go back to it) but the gist of it was this:
Part one: Black people should stop blaming their problems on White people and simply work hard for what they want.
I agree with this, to an extent. I don't agree about generalizations like this (hello, Black president much?) but sociology is all about generalizations so I let that slide.
Part two: Black people need to work hard to measure up to where the White man is.
Pause.
To me it sounded like a blatant form of self hatred (J and D are both Black). How do you say "Cheer up Black people, if you work hard you can be as good as the White man soon" and expect others not to find that offensive?
My response to the status was pretty short - I told her I don't agree with her perspective either since it sounds like an admission of White people being above Black people, which is not true whatsoever.
A few people liked my comment, because it was intelligent and thought out. She gets into this discussion with me about sociology, and I try to share my knowledge on the subject however when I debate I usually back people into a corner.
She got all emotional and decided she "didn't want to deal with me further on the subject" and "went to sleep."
This isn't the first time that I've seen her make ignorant statuses, and I really don't like associating with ignorant people so I deleted her, and informed D of my actions and words.
Unfortunately the entire deletion process can be a bit slow; unless you block someone you may still get some of their news feeds for a few hours or days.
Apparently through this news feed I learned that while D and J hate each other, J ran into D's mom. Keep in mind the status itself did not say anything bad about his mother but she has said shitty things about his mom in the past.
So when her status said "Ran into D's mom, it was rather awkward because I miss her" I immediately thought of how fake she was. However there's another person involved that I haven't yet mentioned, we'll call her N.
Unlike J, N actually goes to UMBC with D and myself. N used to be D's friend, but past events have made it not so. J and N are now "close friends" and because of this N decided to use this status to try to shit talk D.
Other pussy ass bitches would have kept quiet, but whenever someone is shit talking a friend of mine I will promptly inform them. If another argument arises, wouldn't it be best to know all the facts of what comes out of people's mouths?
I told him about the status, and what N said. It seemed like a clear thing between us that the main point of the status was not necessarily what J said, though running into D's mom is quite obnoxious of a situation, but the shit talking that N started.
Apparently that wasn't so clear through the conversation on Twitter.
